Digital, scalable scribing with the HSE and Linn Dara Schools, for the 2024 Rainbow Badge conference.
Visualise your thinking with scribing
Scribing captures your event in a uniquely impactful way.
At debates, conferences and workshops across Ireland, I create visual summaries on paper or screen, literally as they happen.
Visual explanations are often more memorable and accessible than communicating through words alone. Live illustrated works-in-progress that map quotes, ideas and conversations, create a strong sense of togetherness. The audience, the scribe and the artwork itself form a visual feedback loop.
The finished summary is also a widely shareable asset – as photographs of the finished summary or as vector graphics. The latter can be scaled to any size and printed on most materials.
This is a sample list of graphic recording clients who Amy Lauren has worked with. They include the European Commission, the HEA, the Lord Mayor of Dublin, WWETB, Ahead, the No Name Club and Limelight Communications.
Testimonial
"I worked with Amy for the National Access Forum in April 2024. Amy was extremely organised and well prepared. She undertook the brief perfectly. Amy’s illustration skills are exceptional, and the scenes drawn across the day really captured the essence of the event. The illustrations were a great focus point of discussion which really enhanced the overall engagement. I would recommend Amy for any event illustration work. She is very pleasant to deal with and extremely professional and a highly accomplished artist."
– Julie O'Donnell, Senior Executive Officer, Higher Education Authority

This is an example analogue graphic recording made by Amy Lauren for WWETB. Featured is a house, a table of people talking, a lecture, the words connecting and learning, a cartoon of someone thinking, a drawing of a video call, people hugging, music notes, a boat and the sun.
Digital scribing for AsIAm and the Lord Mayor of Dublin, as part of a series of public consultations on how Dublin should improve accessibility for its autistic population.
Post-session digital artwork for the NCSE. This illustration was distributed to Irish schools nationwide as a well wishes postcard in the summer of 2024. It was an additional service added to the analogue scribing completed at an NCSE conference that Spring.
