Highlight the conversation with a graphic recording
As well as being an illustrator, I am a graphic recorder (or a scribe, graphic harvester, live illustrator). At workshops, fairs, conferences and meetings, I create summaries, literally as they happen. Visual summaries are more memorable and accessible than communicating through words and presentations alone, especially when engagement with an event is paramount to producing actionable results.
A visual summary is a widely shareable asset, on paper or as digital artwork. It can be shared with attendees and stakeholders after the event, forming as a tangible snapshot that holds stakeholders' attention and memories, more than scribbled notes ever will.
